September Meeting
Join us on September 22nd @ 5:30 for a tour of the North Carolina State University Cogeneration Plant
NCAEE Members and Friends,
Please join us for a tour of North Carolina State University’s recently installed (Fall 2012) 11MW Cogeneration facility. The facility is composed of two, 5.5MW natural gas turbines with heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), providing roughly 30% of the campus power. In the summer, excess steam normally used for building heat can be routed to the Yarbrough plant and through a 2,000 ton steam-driven chiller. Our guide is Paul McConocha; fellow NCAEE member and Energy Program Manager at NCSU.
The tour will start promptly at 5:30. A strict RSVP limit will be enforced, so be sure to get your RSVP in early. For more information on the facility, please visit their info-graphic. We look forward to seeing you there!
